In Oshawa, a deadly house fire broke up a family, killing a mother and young daughter on Friday morning.

The tree, all of the victims were family members – husband, wife and two daughters.
Durham Regional police said the fire was used to fight the flames until the firefighters arrived at the scene.
Three officers had to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, but Ontario fire marshal will be investigated.

He expressed his condolences to the family and those who know them.
“It’s a difficult day for everyone,” he said. “It’s difficult for our staff, it is difficult for officers.”
Firefighters were still fighting on Wednesday morning.
