Key City – South Africa’s newly appointed special envoy McEbis Jonas, acknowledged the complexity of the current global climate, promoted to promote strong diplomatic relations between Pretoria and Washington.
The statement given by the International Relations and Cooperation Unit (DirCO) on Monday, Jonas thanked President Cyril Ramaphosaya for his entrust to the main diplomatic task.
“Thank you for the President Cyril Ramaphosay, thank you for entrusting me with this important but difficult role,” Jonas said. “I will do my best to introduce healthy business relations between South Africa and the United States.”

His appointment comes to South Africa’s foreign policy positions and geopolitical voltage and changing alliances with South Africa.
Jonas said, “Full of the challenges in the future,” he said, but “for a long time between our two countries” will be ‘partnership and mutual interest areas’.
He said the progress would be necessary and the South African community was patient because they are engaged in various stakeholders throughout both people.
“There are no quick adjustments in such a complicated situation,” he said.
The former Deputy Final Ministry of Finance brings significant political and economic experience to the role of Jonas.
