The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister expressed hope that Iran would approve the agreement of a comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia as soon as possible.
According to the ISNA, Russian Foreign Minister Andrei Rodenko today (Wednesday) said at the beginning of the meeting of the Council of the Russian Federation: Moscow will be approved by Tehran as soon as possible.
In response to the chairman of the Federation Valentina Mattenko, “Iran has not yet confirmed the agreement.”
Rodenko, we prefer to coordinate this process, but according to practical features in the Iranian parliament, they need more time. In all levels, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and these talks, the Iranians are ready to accelerate the process in the parliament.
The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister also said:
“But we hope that all this will be done as soon as possible,” he said.
The comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia was signed during the visit of Iranian President Mesut media in late January 2008.
The Council of the Russian Federation also approved the contract today.
Earlier, the state-run Duma of the Russian state approved a large strategic partnership with Iran on April 5.
