Scottish tributes responded to the social media on Tuesday after his passage of Scott.

Veteran South African Radio DJ and Sports Broadcaster Darren Scott passed 61 years old.

Scott struggled with an aggressive form of re-established skin cancer several times over the years.

Scott, Radio Bop, 5FM, Jacaranda, including the country’s most recognized radio stations, including East Coast Radio, and eventually hot 102.7fm.

Hot FM said they were worried about the passage of Scott.

“The last few months it was very difficult for Darren with a large number of hospitals. Darren Radio will be remembered for the passion for the mind, creativity and charity.

“He will be kidnapped by our HOT 1027 and our audience. The condolences goes to the boys, sign and match. We will miss the rest of the peace.”

Cancer

A veteran broadcaster with his children in the United States, said he had to return to South Africa to finance cancer treatment.

Scott, in 1986, was first diagnosed with Melanoma, which is an aggressive form of skin cancer.

In December last year, SCOTT in a Facebook post shared that he had been living with Melanoma for 38 years.

“Melanoma is an invasive skin cancer that is very high risk of death.

Last month, his ex-wife Sarah-Kate ACCetta launched a background to help cover the medical expenses of the radio legend.

The campaign raised the R960.000 target at least R410,237.
