Potchefstoom – Police, parts of a few trucks, vehicles, heavy machines, forklifts, signal jamers and copper tiles in a farm in Venterdorp were seized.
The combined value of the suspect stolen property was assessed in R10 MLON.
Ventersdorp Police, Rustenburg K9 and a security company among a security company headed a farm in Ventersdorp (March 28, 2025).
“Preliminary police research, a truck loaded with Copper plates worth R6 million, Kwa-Zulu Natal was allegedly accompanied by this discovery several days ago,” Police spokesman Colonel Adéle Myburgh.
“The truck was on the way to Durban Harbor, because copper will be exported and watched by the security company.”
The truck truck was closed with another truck (horse) and was abandoned by the road shortly after the hijacked horse was kidnapped.
“When the farm is pounced, some of the copper plates are already loaded in the process of cutting the kidnapped trailer and heavy cars,” Colonel Myburgh said
“Police discovered five more trailers abducted in the Soweto of Alberton, Vosloorus and Gauteng in Soweto.
“Four suspects, all men between the age of 20 were arrested.”
Ventersdorp will go to court to have the stolen property before the Master’s Court.
The case will be investigated by the Directorate for the Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI).
The possibility of more work against the accused may not be ruled out.
The relocative year security client, the Great General Patrick Asaneng, made cooperation between the police and a security company.
He stressed that the crime was not resolved without the active participation of police officers in the fight against crime and ears of the criminal members.
