The Mayor stressed the current inefficiency of the port, according to the World Bank, the world is most effectively in the world, which prevents regional economic growth and workplace in the world.
“We need to go to this hand brake and make special investment and management in the Cape Town port to create jobs in Cape Town,” he said.
The potential benefits of the private partnership in the port of Cape Town are important. The research from the Western Cape Economic Development and Tourism Department estimates that this participation can create an additional R6 billion, about 20,000 jobs in exports of this participation and can earn income with additional tax revenues for five years.
Mayor Hill-Lewis stressed the delay in the process of praising the government’s schedule to go to the official procurement phase until August 2025, 2025. To facilitate this partnership, he also admitted that the Development Bank of the Role of South Africa is the Development Bank.
Alderman James Vos, Member of the Mayor Committee, for economic growth, large infrastructure investments in the port to pose the wind in the port, he said.
“When the port cannot work hard enough, exporters have to direct their goods to Durban, GQEberha and other ports in other places,” he said.
The services and experience of the special sector expressed optimism in the RFI process, which is a full-scale partnership with a special sector, and showed that they are ready to help as much as possible.
Hibarri’s vice-president, Cherrylee Samson, the new acquisition of the city will attract investment and experience.
