Canadian Summer Games Election Criteria – Road and MTB


The Canadian Summer Games (August 8-23) is a two-week sporting event held every four (4) years. Athletes represent the provinces with inflammatory organizations, and athletes will represent their sports in their sports. In 2025, the Canadian summer matches will include sports sports, including Holy John, Newfoundland and mountain cycling and handkshyling.

Canadian games provide one of several opportunities to work for the “game” setting. Athletes will adhere to the general gaming protocols, the Shared Multisport, athletic village, residence in the village of athletes, residing in the village and conguing ceremonies and performance to capture the flag of Canada.

Team Ontario Canada Games Goals (Bike)

  • Ensure a comprehensive assessment of all suitable Ontario athletes through various camps and competition opportunities.
  • Choose athletes that give the best opportunity for medal potential among all elements of the competition
  • Ontario and Ontario represent a cycling association in a positive way, demonstrate sports and respect for coaches and officials in all competitions, coaches and officials

Athlete compatibility

  1. Athletes should not be born in 2005- 2009
  2. Athletes who are excluded from Canadian games:

● Old National Team members – identified as: athletes holding

SR, SR1, SR2 or C1 card at any time; and / or athletes who are part of

● Athletes competing in the following events in advance:

○ More than one UCI World Championship (Road and MTB)
