The act does not try to be everything to all people. Vancouver-based company has not been unapologetically owned by mountain bikes, no moto crossover, gravel dawling and lifestyle. For drivers, the gear built for drivers. Joint founder Travis Bilton knows the industry from the inside. He made something corporate (the race, fox, YT), and he started from scratch (his first brand, lavan, and started the first brand in his high school). After designing others for years, it’s time to build something better than the earth.
“I just wanted a brand with a mountain bike,” he says. “No motocross hand-me-discount. There is no progress to the bottom of the quality. We just want to wear the gear really.”
Designed in BC, tested on the beach
ActBritish Columbia is developed and developed and developed by local drivers in the real area, especially radically, rainy, and shoulder-season type. Bilton’s herself walks a ton, and he is the first product test of the brand.
“It doesn’t go to the production of anything until hard and harvested.”
The result? Sustainably expanding shorts, pants, gloves, a small but careful number of forms. A waterproof riding is preparing to start the vest.
Certified repetition
A marketing marketing of sustainability, Bilton was pushed with recycled materials. Akta is a chance to really watch. Most of the tracks are made from post-consumer waste (such as pet bottles and fishing) or post-industrial scrapes and many are certified Bluesign or GR.
“I didn’t want to be a steady celebration. It is only the standard for how we do it,” he says.
Grow, not to grow
Now in the third season of sales, the acta is available in the 30 plus Canadian retailers and online. Grows slowly.
“We do not want to launch a bunch of products for the sake of this,” Bilton says. “We are building the gear we believe and keeps a tempo what we want.”
They support their places: Jack Menzies and sponsors the combinants, like Jack Menzies and gears gear for sports and work with local photographers and directors to create a sense of sports.
More than just a Jersey
In a category full of brand crossovers and endless discounts, the Akta wakes its lane. Does not follow the lands or compete in volume – it’s just a well-durable, well-made mountain bike gear for people living for trail time.
