Key City – Former President and the MK party leader Yagub Zuma promised to fully support for Boninkosi Khanyile, facing the alleged lawsuit to be related to the riots in July 2021.
In a video broadcast in X, Zuma called on MK supporters to participate in the appearance of the court’s court.
The former MK Party Youth League National Coordinator was appointed to return to Durban Master’s Court on Thursday After disputes with the absence of last week and after the arrest.
“I am sure that we all know that the young man we know is visible in court tomorrow. I think it will go and support him will be very good for us,” Zuma said.
“It will be very important, very important that people should go to court and support people, and when we do not see their tail and head. It is absolutely important.”
Zuma criticized the authorities to arrest, in his opinion, not justified.
“In fact, when one of us encounters such a situation, we must support us to support us and to support our friends. Please go there,” he said.
He added: “There are already many cases and need to be aware of this to support each other and be there. Thank you for listening and please be tomorrow.”
Khanyile, R5,000 came out of pledge.
Khanyile faces the charges of influencing to commit public violence and break the disaster management act. The court includes video evidence that Zuman is allegedly promoting protests. Previously fined and the MK was removed as a youth leader.
Zuma’s imprisonment was sentenced to 2021 July riots caused by more than 330 deaths.
