Should Edmonton’s official bird?
An entertaining and friendly initiative encourages local citizens to collect a voice for the local bird they think best.
The voting began in October and after several rounds in many rounds after several rounds – Boreal chicken, black scored Magpie and Blue Jay.

The competition, Edmonton Nature Club, Nature Alberta, Valley Zoo, North Saskatchewan River Valley Protection Society and several nature groups, including Edmonon River Valley Protection Coalition, are jointly among the joint force.
Catherine Shier, the conversation coordinator at the Edmonton Valley Zoo, is designed to be entertaining and lightweight in the competition, which should increase awareness.
“Everything is about to support our city plan biodiversity and support our goal of protecting our natural territory,” he said.
In 2022, Edmonton became the eighth Canadian city of Canada to receive a bird-friendly city certificate from nature.
Recognition, cities encourage their death to be transformed into more secure places for birds by reducing deathplays with windows and roaming cats.
